Hiding...

Last week I was sitting on the couch, and Klous was playing on the floor...I could hear him making noises, but when I looked on the floor I couldn't find him. I thought he had army crawled into the corner by the door...but when I sat up I saw what he really had done!! He was hiding from his mommy!!!

I had to pull him out to get the full effect and tell the story, so this is how he does it...he scoots backwards into this tunnel toy...
then he turns and squeezes and pulls himself into it...or tries at least...:)
and after a lot of trying, he finally gets inside and is SOOO proud of what he's done!! Look at his big smile!!! He thought he was pretty funny!!!Then he finds his other toys and entertains himself in the tunnel for a while!!
The only problem is that he tries to pull himself up with his other toy, but he doesn't realize that the tunnel is TOO short and his head pushes up on top...it's pretty cute!!
Looks like we'll have fun with hide & seek when he's big enough!!!

So sleepy...

This morning, I was talking to a friend on the phone that I haven't talked to in over 6 years...so we had a LOT of catching up to do...but while talking, I fed Klous his breakfast...and gave him his yummy Nilla Wafer cookies...well when he finished them, he just got really pooped out I guess. When I looked at him again, he was sound asleep in the high chair!! He's just soo cute!!

Then he woke up and realized he was a bit freaked out...I went over to get him out...
and he got more upset, cuz not only was he still tired...but STINKY too!! So it was just a short nap in the high chair!! It was cute while it lasted!! :)

Me & My Boy...

Well people have said that there aren't any pictures of me on here...and that's because I'm always the one BEHIND the camera taking the pictures...so this morning I got brave...and after Klous' nap...we took some pictures of just Mommy & Klous!!! They're not too great...but what can you do with only one hand??

Ok...so I was hoping maybe this habit would go away?? That maybe he wouldn't enjoy picking at the carpet anymore?? But I was WRONG...way wrong...doesn't matter how many times I vacuum or how often I pick up the fuzzies...Klous manages to still find them!!! :( Here you go...and don't get too grossed out...it's pretty sick!!

Ok...is Mommy watching?? I gotta make sure I don't have her full attention...
...because I've found a delicious treat on the floor...and want to try it without her seeing...
...I'll just spit out my binki and slowly shove it into my mouth...(see the fuzzy around his fingers)
...oh good...I've got it in my mouth...just not all the way...gotta keep trying...(yeah, it's hanging out of his mouth, it's hair and fuzzies) BLAH :P
...I'll just shove it into my mouth more and get the full taste of it...mmmm...it's good!!!...
...YEAH...I did it...got it in my mouth...and DARN IT...Mommy caught me and took pictures...oh man...I'll have to do it better next time...
So yeah...here he is...my CRAZY kid eating the carpet again...it's so gross...and right now as I'm typing this on here...he's concentrating REAL hard on another one...WHAT DO I DO???? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :) Can't deny he's dang cute though...look at those big eyes!!! :)

This weekend we took the opportunity to get away from the city and RELAX...it was wonderful!!! We went up into the mountains and went camping with our friends Chris & Jen Kelly and their kids. We were a little nervous as to how Klous would do with the adventure, but he was AMAZING...and did so good. Gives us a lot of hope and courage to do it more this summer!!! It got pretty cool in the evening and night time, but Klous managed to sleep all night long both nights and stay warm, so that was great. Here are some pictures of our fun weekend and a few things we got to do!!

Klous was pretty excited about the tent and being able to crawl around it crinkle the tarp bottom...as you can see he was ALL smiles!!! :) :) :)
Here's our campsite...ours was the orange and white tent...the campsite was just right for our 2 little families!! (Ryan's getting lunch ready) :)
Klous really liked the campfire and all the pretty colors...the Kelly boys liked how big the flames got with a pile of pine needles being thrown on!!! So, so relaxing...
Ryan managed to walk on the stumps across the "Salt Creek" and get to the other side...he was looking for wood for the fire and anything else exciting!! Such a nice sound to listen to as we slept...the water flowing...it was great!!!
Klous finally got pooped out Saturday afternoon and decided to crash in the tent...we were glad he took his nap even though he didn't have his music or crib...he did so good!!! Not to mention how dang cute he is!! :)
And of course his newest trick is spitting and doing the "raspberry" thingy with his tongue...so he was sure to share his spit outside!!!
I didn't get any pictures that really showed how dirty he got...or when he was eating the sticks, bark, pine needles, or dirt...but he is a true boy and was scooting all over the ground to find his "treasures"!!! He had a lot of fun...and his parents enjoyed the little break from real life as well!!! :)

Swimming!!! :)

Well summer is FINALLY here...and it is stinkin' hot here in Utah. The water parks and pools have finally opened now that the warm weather is here. So yesterday Shauna & I decided we would bring the boys swimming!!!

Klous was real excited when I put his swimsuit on...he was all ready...
Once we got to the pool...he wasn't real sure what was going on, and didn't really like the inner-tube or the water...didn't help that Mommy left him to get the camera either!! :)
Both Zack & Klous were a little freaked out...and didn't want to be there...but the mommies weren't ready to leave...it felt very nice...
Finally...after about an hour...and a little more playing...they were finally calm...Uncle Matthew and Auntie Jessica came along too for the fun day...
Klous was having a tough time keeping his eyes open while relaxing in the pool...he really liked it after the first little bit...
He just watched the people and kids...and tried his best to stay awake!!!
It was a nice afternoon...and very relaxing...we'll be back often I'm sure...I was hoping to get some pictures of Klous asleep in the tube...but he wouldn't let me...so hope you enjoyed the few pictures I did get of him just playing!!! Gotta love summer!! :)

New Toy :)

Yesterday I was cleaning the house and doing laundry for Auntie Erin & Uncle Jordan to come visit...Klous was doing his best to help me fold the clothes. After pulling the FULL basket of clothes on himself a few times, I finally got them all folded and he got ahold of the empty basket and found all the fun things you can do with it!!

You can pull it on your head and peek out at Mommy...
You can really hide and pretend that you can't see what's going on in the world...
You can just be absolutely adorable with that little smirk...
You can yell at it and see if the echo will come back???...
And finally you can get your favorite car and drive it on it...
And drive some more and play, play, play :)
It was pretty cute to watch him pull it over on himself and just smile at me because he discovered a new trick and toy :) He's pretty fun right now!! :)
