We had our doctor's appointment yesterday morning...and it was the start of the "FUN" appointments where you get to get checked!! So the Dr. measured my uterus...listened to the baby's heart...answered some questions...and then I asked if the baby was most likely "head-down" now...like they should be at this time. He said he would know in a minute when he checked me...so he checks...and guess what. We have yet ANOTHER issue...the baby is BREECH. Yeah...let me tell you, I just about cried...I said out-loud..."my gosh, how much more do I have to deal with?"...this is getting so frustrating and hard for me. Ugh...
Anyways...I'm not posting this just to whine, but because I needed to make family and close friends aware of what's going on...also, I don't know anyone personally that has had a breech baby...so I'm hoping that MAYBE someone who reads this will have some advice or guidance for me?? We have to go in tomorrow for an ultrasound to see for sure how the baby is positioned...and then will have to make an appointment with the high-risk specialists who will try to TURN the baby. From what I've read...that's not fun at all...so let me tell you...I'm REALLY looking forward to it!! Blah...I'm so ready for all this to be over and to just be able to hold my little girl...soon I guess right!?!?!
Here are some pictures of the different types of breech...I can only imagine what position she is in...judging by how UNCOMFORTABLE it is lately. Guess we'll find out in the ultrasound tomorrow. Woo hoo...
Well my goodness, after looking at those pictures....I think I would rather be upright too. She knows what she is doing.
ReplyDeleteEverything will be fine Becki, don't worry. I love you!!!
Well I haven't delivered breech, but the night before I went in for my appointment with one of mine for being breech he turned over. And it was huge like you KNEW he was rolling over. So they didn't have to do anything and he still took another three weeks to be born. Since he was two weeks late. Just have Faith that it will work out okay and it will. You can handle it!
ReplyDeleteCome on... be honest, if you didn't have all the drama you would be SO Bored. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, all I can suggest is that if you end up having a C-Section, I have plenty of advice for you. Marshall was born via Emergency C-Section. We nearly lost him at birth and the C-section saved his life. Now that I've given birth both ways, I have to say C-Section was not as scary as I thought it would be. IF I ever can get pregnant again, I'm sure I'll have to have another C-Section.
ReplyDeleteHang in there. I told the Bishop that I'm doing Scouts for you guys for now and he said they would have to talk about it. Not sure what that means. I just know you certainly need a break now AND after the baby comes.
Hugs to you, Becki. I'm sure it'll all be fine, but dang, what a pain!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any experience with a breech baby other than I was one. But I do have a ton of experience with baby drama, and the high risk docs.
ReplyDeleteThe high risk Docs are wonderful and will most likely make you feel alot better and less freaked out. They do stuff like this alot. But good luck and let me know if you need anything.
I didn't have a breech baby, but I DO know what you mean when you feel like, "what else could go wrong?".
ReplyDeleteIf you ever need to talk, let me know. It is a hard thing to go through during a pregnancy when one thing after another seems to side swipe you. Hang in there, you are in the home stretch! Good luck.. And I am always here if you need an ear.
Wow Becki! I'm sorry this isn't going so flawlessly for you! But you seem like you're doing good and still keeping faith which is great! Everything will turn out fine!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Andrea
Wow! I really hope everything goes okay and that she turns for you. She will, just have faith and keep that smile on your face. Don't worry. We will keep you in our prayers. This should make you smile. We just got back from the fire station for Zac. He now has completed his wolf and get 1 gold and 4 silver arrow points. Yahoo!
ReplyDeleteI heard that babies can turn any time. If she doesn't maybe you wanna practice standing on your head!
ReplyDeletemy sister-in-law did acupuncture and it work. Courtlin was breech and mom got a blessing and prayed really hard and went to duluth to have them turn the baby.
ReplyDeleteIts exciting that you are the the worried she is breech stage. :)
